large to small trim

I had no idea there is a do it yourself forum/website. This is going to be a big help.

I am looking to run large 5 inch trim in an entry hallway. The rest of the house is shorter trim....so when I reach the area where they meet I'm not sure what to do to have them meet nicely.

They meet in the doorway of the living room and the entry way. I'll get pictures up as soon as I can this afternoon when I'm at a computer.

Thanks in advance for your help. Sorry for thr lack of pictures. I can't upload one with my phone.

Are you talking about baseboard, crown moulding or what? If you use Google photos you can just paste a link to the photo if you can't currently upload one.

We would want a photo of the large trim, the small trim, and maybe the area where you plan them to meet.
