Angry How do I remove a paint scuff from car finish?

Hello, My soulmate scraped the front fender of our Toyota against our garage's door trim. The door trim color is red while the car's paint color is white. I have already used a polishing compound to remove much of the scuff paint. I am hesitant to continue using the polishing compound. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Wet sanding with a super fine wet sandpaper will remove the abrasion from the clearcoat, but you are right, there is a limit to how much you can sand. We can't advise without being there and seeing/ feeling how deep the abrasion is. If it's through the clearcoat well then you won't be able to buff it all completely out. After wet sanding you would then use a product like 3M finesse it to restore the luster of the clear coat.
