2010 Toyota Camry dashboard lights question

Hello:
Camry 2010
Dashboard lights get 'dim' when I turn my headlights on. Otherwise, every lights are OK.
Car Starts up right away.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The dash lights are supposed to dim when you turn the headlights on as that usually signifies night driving. You should have a dash light dimmer that controls the level of the dash lights when the headlights are on.

Thanks for the quick response. Just wonder where 'dash light dimmer' located. As far as I remember, I never touched any knobs. Thanks for any further help on this problem. At least, it appears to me NOT 'alternator.'

Thanks SO much for taking time along with excellent knowledge regarding the issue I asked to post on this board.

Early this morning on the way to work, I tested and it works. Only thing I remember is that when I cleaned a tiny mud-mark my beagle/dog made, I accidently bumped the knob, never thinking it's SO important to dashboard-lighting. From now on, I need to be more careful NOT touch any knobs, particularly any wires when cleaning the car.
