Chrysler 300 V6 Transmission Oil Check
I was checking a Utube video to see what is involved in changing the spark plugs on my 2007 Chrysler 300. I was shocked to find that there was a transmission oil fill tube without a dip stick in the way of the intake cover. I think I was told when I bought it that there wasn't a dip stick, but forgot about it. I see now that there is a special tool you have to have, a chart, and some way to tell the temperature of the oil when you check it. What is going on here? It says nothing in the manual about when to take it in to the dealer, and nothing about checking the transmission fluid levels.

Modern cars tend to have no trannie dipsticks and ATF changes are complicated. Be grateful you do not have a Mercedes. Many makes claim lifetime fluid.
Have fun.
