2008 Pontiac grand prix rear wheel noise.

So, a few weeks back I hit a fence that damaged my rear wheel, blowing out the tire. I got a new one. I now hear a nose coming from the tire. It's a "wub wub wub" sound that gets faster the faster I drive. I thought maybe it's an unbalanced tire, so I rotated it the tire with the front driver tire to see if the noise followed the tire but it didn't. I'm thinking maybe a wheel bearing? Any other thoughts? How can I test the wheel bearing?

Welcome to the forums James!

The first thing to do is jack it up and spin the offending wheel. Look and listen for any discrepancies. Usually it isn't a big deal to replace the entire hub.

While it is jacked up look for any bent parts. If you damaged wheel it doesn't take any more to bend something else.

Also, make sure the wheel nuts are good and tight. If the nuts loosened it can cause a noise

It wobbles. Hence that noise. Hub bearing will make crunching noise. Something's bent, most likely control arms. They change geometry of the entire knuckle then.
