Bolt stuck

Hi everyone.

I'm doing break job on rear Hyundai Elantra Touring 2010, Auto Tranny.
and I have this bolt stuck. (I need to take this out to get to the calliper bolt)

The bolt had a nut at the other end, and I took out the nut.
But the bolt doesn't come out no matter how hard I tap from behind or turn it. When I kept turning real hard, at some point it resisted and feels like it will break..

1. Is there anyway to take it out, if penetrating oil doesn't work? (I tried but not with a good one)

2. What's the rod's name? and is it dangerous if it disconnects ?

 

Not sure of the name of bolt but It is stuck in the sleeve of the rubber bushing. Sleeve has rusted to bolt and almost impossible to remove. Plan on destroying the bolt. Some times if you start nut and hit on nut and bolt it may break loose. I had a large air hammer that could loosen them sometimes. Soak in PB Blaster overnight. The 2 outside caliper bolts look like they are far enough out to get caliper off.

 

That control arm bolt should not have to be removed.

The caliper bolts are only into the backing plate by the thickness of the plate. That means the caliper can removed without having to pull the two bolts completely out.

On some of those cars I've seen one bolt removed and the caliper actually spins on the other bolt.

 

I was going to say the same thing as PJ, "That control arm bolt should not have to be removed", but googled it, and, sure enough, sounds like it does. Whodathunk! That said, PB Blaster is what I would use too, and, as pugs said, let it soak overnight. It's good stuff, but it's reversing the chemical actions of however many years of corrosion, so not going to happen in 5 or 10 minutes. When you start hitting on it again, slip a box end wrench over the head, and push away from you, so that it sort of binds on the head and pulls on the bolt a bit. That way you can wiggle and pull on it a bit as you hit it. If that doesn't work, soak it some more, and see if you can at least get it to the point that it will turn more easily.

If I break it in the process, will it have any bad repercussion to take it out clean ?

And it IS dangerous if that breaks and slips out while driving, right ?

Put the nut back on and yoiu won't have any problem while driving.I would not even try to get bolt out now thyat you know it does not need to come out.
