The power-folding side mirror on my daughter's 2010 ML350 got damaged while parked, so I ordered the parts from eBay and had a body shop paint and install it while it was in for other work. Now a few months later the power-folding feature has stopped working properly: is "stutters" when trying to fold and then just stays open. I asked someone on a Mercedes web forum and he provided the attached lubrication instructions. It says to push the mirror toward the FRONT of the car, which is OPPOSITE of the direction it folds. I'm afraid to break it, so can anyone confirm it will go in that direction, then spring back?
