Interior door covering is falling off

My son's car. The passenger door covering is peeling off. He tried using contact cement, but the summer heat is making it fail. Anybody have any suggestions as to what type of adhesive to use that will stay?

I had a similar issue and had to take it almost completely off...then buff the old adhesive "fuzz" that was left behind to get to a relatively clean fresh surface. Mask off everything from overspray (best to take the panel off) and coat both sides per instructions on the spray can. Use the 3M Hi Strength 90, not the Super 77.

And be sure you wait the right amount of time before pressing it together. Impatience is not good when working with contact cement.

3Ms weather strip adhesive works well although it can be a bear to remove if the occasion ever arises. Masking tape can be used to hold it in place while whatever adhesive you use sets.
