1974 Honda Civic Alternator harness wiring
Hi everyone, I'm young and new to the whole restoration thing. I discovered that my cars alternator plug was disconnected from the wires (old three port) I have no idea which wire is supposed to go the which port! I tried some mix and match but nothing worked.
A little info...
The alternator has an external regulator, the connection looks like this

the end that runs from the car into the alternator has disconnected behind the harness, leaving me with three frayed wires. I want to get the connection corrected in the original harness but need to know where the wires go.
I will include pictures upon request.
Thank you!

Welcome to the forums.
Mix and match can have disastrous results as electronics don't like that.
What colors are the wires you have ?
Is this your plug ? It matches the Denso line of alternators.

Sorry.... the picture I posted went missing. I re-posted it in my first post.
I'll look for the wiring color code for you.
