Dodge Caravan Aftermarket Power Window Switch Intall Help

I had a Universal Power Window System installed many years ago on my 2003 Dodge Caravan. Motor went bad on one door & switch went bad also. I got something off Amazon and I replaced the motors, but I cant figure how to swap the old switched with the new ones without having to rewire it. The motor I just swapped and use the wiring already there.

I wanted to do the same with the switches by just using the wiring there and with the new switch. The problem is.. there is one more wire on the old switches than the new one and the colors are not the same. Any advice if its possible to swap the switches by using the old wiring?

The power windows work with the car off and if I roll the driver side window with the car off the ignition goes into the on position without the key inside. I had this system installed by a company long ago. I dont have a problem with the way its wired, but I am not sure it it will cause any problems.

I would consider that a problem.

The wiring is basic but it looks like the factory wires were used which means they won't match an aftermarket system. I need the wiring diagram for that XO kit if that's where the new switches are from. I'll need to see the wiring on the old switches too. This may not be an easy internet project.

The after market power window pieces shown in the pictures look like they are from SPAL Automotive USA. Call at 800/3450327 to see if they can provide the correct parts. Good luck.

I was able to replace the switch. On the new switch red wire was power, the two brown wires were ground and the green and blue were the motor wires. I was able to find out what the wires on the old switch were for and was able to connect the new switch. Its working now.... the only issue I had was that the new switch was larger and did not fit on the switch door mount. I had to cut away some of the plastic on the mount and got it fit.

Thank you for you help and advice. I will post pictures of how they are mounted now, for anyone on the same situation.

The old switches were Electric-Life Power Window Switch Kits 4990-10-421 and the new ones are Window Kit, XO Vision 2 Door Power Window Kit. I was able to figure out the old wiring...... Which ones were ground (Brown), power (Red), and motor (Blue & Green or Red & Black). Once I knew that I just connected the new wiring to the old one and it worked.

I removed the wires on the new switch plug and connected it to the old plug.
