2002 Buick Park Ave: power window problem.

I have a 2002 Buick Park Ave with power windows, the passanger window won't work, i checked the wires and i have power to the up side of the motor but no power on the down side, Anyone know what would cause this? switches are good. Thank You

sounds like a bad switch to me but you say they are good would probably disconnect the motor and retest one wire will be power and the other will be ground you need both for the motor to function the switch will just reverse polarity so the wire that is power in the up position will be ground in the down position would guess you either have a switch issue or you will find that you do have power and ground and have a bad motor.

Welcome to the forums.

Make sure the back windows are working. I've seen the safety switch (lockout) that controls the passenger side and rear windows go bad.

All other windows work fine from each switch and master switch

Take the plug off the motor. Connect your meter to the two pins on the plug. If you are using a digital meter.... it will read +12vDC in one direction and -12vDC in the other direction. That would confirm your wiring as ok and point towards a motor problem.
