Battery test results

I have a 6 year old EverStart Maxx (Walmart) battery that tested at 420 CCA compared to 550 CCA when new. This sounds like I'm fine for now but I'm not certain. At what CCA level should the battery be replaced?

CCA is not an indicator of of how long a battery will last. At 6yrs old you are due for a replacement.

Hey Ron, you're cutting into my jump start calls profits!

Seriously, as Ron said, just replace it; you've gotten your money's worth and, trust me, it is going to crap out at the absolute worst time.

Replace it. Here in Dallas Texas some junk yards have specials - batteries are $15 on Thursdays, otherwise $30. My junk yard run last week saw this tow truck off-loading 2 cars. In one battery was dated 1/19, practically new. Multi-Meter said as much and I had the battery out of that suv faster than a scalded cat. This is my second score and I am hooked.
