Hi I need a repair shop for my still in warranty Honda CRV. The dealer is very costly. I have tried a service that recommends businesses of all kinds and for the life of me cannot remember it. I have no one to refer as I live in a congested area near DC in MD. Can you think of a free, reliable program that can tell what a shop costs and if the work is OK? I have 2013 VW Scirocco R with about 65,000 km, A/T. I noticed from a few weeks ago something seemed to be off with the turbo gauge. No weird sounds, no check engine lights or fault codes, but I do feel a slight difference in driving sometimes it pulls (when boost is engaged) and it seems to react differently than normal at low rpms. I noticed while at a redlight, with AC on, the boost gauge needle was fluttering back and forth from -0.5 to -0.3 back and forth on its own. If I turned AC off, the needle calmed down and stayed at -0.5 or -0.6. Does anyone have any idea what this could be a sign of? What should I check? I can't remember if this is normal (probably not) but sometimes I'm seeing boost at 0.5 BAR but I'm only at 1500-1800 rpm....is boost supposed to read that high (0.5 bar) for going low speeds only under 2k rpm?
