Steering wheel controls malfunction

Hi community, I have a 2010 Subaru Impreza (hatchback) and it seems like the radio controls have a short circuit or something...the radio channels change randomly by themselves when I turn the wheel, or they whimsically do not work at all at times, not even by pressing them to increase volume or change posts...

Spilled drinks or sneezed them onto the SW? Sounds like water damage to electronics inside.
Either way, go to Subie forums....always best bet.

would probably suspect the clock spring being more likely to fail than the switches.

Thanks

Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction. Now it's easier to target specific garages in the area. Let's hope fixing it won't cost more than the car itself, hahaha.
Thanks again! Cheers!
Ah, 2 granddaughters, come back to Montreal for some poutine! :-)
