front wheel drive differentials
On the Camry and other small front wheel drives.................
Where exactly are the differentials???? Are they on the outer side of the engine blocks???
Is there one on both sides or is there just one???
Any links to good pics appreciated...

A good place to start on the basics is this Chevy/GM promo from 1937
Around The Corner - How Differential Steering Works (1937)

Hal, that's a fantastic video. Glad you uploaded it.
There's actually a "US Auto Industry" YouTube page, filled with old commercials and short films.

However, it IS amazing when you see how clear and understandable a 1937 film is,
compared to a modern "learn engineering" or CGI based video.
