How would you finish the end of a drywall
I have this piece of drywall that finishes off right next to a 4x4 support beam.
I can't take the beam out and put a corner bead as it's a major structural column that I JUST installed last week - I know, should have thought of it before installation, but anyways this is where I'm at.
Is it okay to just mud over the tuck tape or will it crack?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I dunno how to finish it exactly, but certainly not over the Tuck Tape. That's only for house wrap (and maybe interior moisture barriers?). It would be like mudding over packaging tape.

Since you can't install corner bead now the next best thing is to flat tape and finish it, once done you'd caulk the edge to the wood. Flat taping is the same as taping a joint between two pieces of drywall but in this instance you are just using it to dress up the end of the drywall.
I doubt joint compound would adhere long term to the tuck tape.

While I know it is hindsight, using a cap molding on the edge of the drywall would make it look smoother and would require no finishing, just painting. UtiLite 8 ft. Edge Cap Molding-V-19 EDGE CAP - 8 - The Home Depot

Flat taping you could do now. I hope the red tape does not pull the paper off the drywall.
If you can find one you could do this for a nice finished edge also.
