Size: 97.7 KBon one corner of one of my walls, the part that sticks out. it looks like there was some drywall tape placed there and there is a little area that has come loose. should i just paint over it or put some spakle over it first

Hard to say without seeing it. If it will lay back down you'd apply joint compound under the tape to 'glue' it back down and then apply more j/c over it once it has dried. It might also require texture. If the tape won't lay back down you'd cut out the offending portion and add new tape.

Is there loose tape or is it just the joint where the corner bead has cracked?

Looks like corner bead and not tape to me.

FWIW, the material you would want to use is joint compound, not spackle.

Agree, looks like a corner bead.

Needs to be re nailed down then patched.
