Drywall screw indents?

I don't know if there is a term for this but there are some small indents about the diameter of a golf ball in the ceilings. I assume it's where the screws are. What could be causing this? Sorry the pic isn't great but it's hard to get good lighting on it.
Thanks!

Does the drywall move if you press against it?

Thanks for the thread. No, it doesn't move but in running my finger over it I think it might actually be a screw pop that is causing some kind of weird concave depression. I guess the only way to know would be to go digging...

Nail pops push out from the surface.

Usually in order for the sheetrock to look like that..... the nail or screw is holding there but the reset of the sheetrock is pulling down on either side of it. Usually it will require a screw on either side of the dimple pulling the sheetrock back up to the joist. As you tighten the screws... the plaster will pop over that dimple.
