How to repair hairline crack in plaster ceiling with design

Hey everyone,

I just noticed a hairline crack in my plaster ceiling that has a swirl design. It is a relatively straight crack with a length of roughly 10 feet. I would like to keep the same design in the ceiling but need to fix the crack.

Any solutions??

Joel

Welcome to the forums Joel!

I've always found that type of texture difficult to replicate. You could push caulking just into the crack [cleaning off any excess] which should help the crack not be as visible.

Polyfiller would be your best bet. Stuff it in so it is slightly protruding then you can sand down accordingly to match.
