What to ask when buying a truck

I am thinking of buying 1997 f150 from a friend who is a Technical Sergeant in the US Air Force and I would like to know what questions I should ask. Here is what I know about it he has put in a new engine, radiator, brakes, carpet for the floor and redid the seats. He has also rebuilt the transmission. Any advice about this process would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

How many original miles on the frame. Was the engine a total rebuild, new, short block, long block. Along with radiator, were all hoses changed. Do both fuel tanks transfer appropriately (if equipped). Check NTSB for recalls or TSB's and see if the TSB's were taken care of. Just a few questions that I would have.

Was it ever in snow country (rust/corrosion issues from road salt)?

It's always a good idea to crawl under a vehicle before you purchase it both to check for rust and look for any other type of damage/worn parts. He might be a good friend but I'd still want to see for myself.

Take the truck to a trusted mechanic for an inspection.
