Chevy S10 4.3 Transmission Pan Gasket Replace. Now slips in Drive.

Tranny pan was leaking. Removed pan...very tight quarters. At some point while removing the pan I knocked loose the plastic support for an electrical plug on the bottom of one of two small solenoids (?) at the back of the transmission. Snapped plastic back in place. Replaced gasket. Reinstalled pan. Refilled tranny. Car now operates normally in Reverse, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but slips in Drive. Thinking I might have to remove pan again and replace the solenoid. Ideas??? Thanks.

I did the same thing. Both seloniods are 30 bucks each.

Change both and be done with it.. You will see improved shifting.. Dont just change the one...

After I broke mine I just limped it to a tranny shop. Was 180$ out the door..

I made a huge mess of my driveway and decided it was not worth me messing with it..
