NAPA Adaptive brake pads-ceramic

2013 Ram 1500 need to change front pads. Will also change the rotors while doing it because I had a little grinding when hitting the brakes hard and can't seem to find anyone that will turn them. I had them changed a couple of years ago and the pads they used caused major brake dust on rims.
The dealer pads are on back-order and I have been looking at NAPA ceramic pads Adaptive One brand.
I was told ceramic pads cause less dust and are overall good pads.
Has anyone had any luck with these pads? .Thanks

Worried about sound from rebuilt transmission

92 Ford Ranger XLT with 2.9 V6 A4LD 4-speed automatic My transmission was rebuilt at a transmission specialist several days ago. I did not have time to research this and wait for shipping of a remanufactured transmission to do it myself. The new transmission works fine. But there is a 'ticking' sound coming from the torque converter. The ticking speeds up with the RPM when you press the accelerator pedal. It is always present if you are in neutral, park, drive.....etc. I crawled under the truck and checked for the obvious: 1. No loose mounting bolts 2. No loose bracket 3. No loose exhaust 4. No loose heat shields 5. No loose starter 6. No loose shifter linkage 7. no driveline issues 7. plenty of transmission fluid 8. It's not power steering low on fluid 9. No loose connections in the engine bay The sound is different up close when you are under the truck. It sounds more like a conveyor in an industrial setting, except not nearly as loud of course. Any idea what this might be before I bring it back to the service garage? They are aware of the sound but asked me to give it a couple weeks. I'm not waiting that long. I have a Toyota Tacoma 2003. It is still running great. However, the AC seems a bit weak last year so I used one of those Artic cans and it worked fine last year. As of this year, there is no longer cold air coming out unless at night. So today, I used that same can from last year but when I connected it, the needle went into the red zone. Either the can went bad or it is time to bring this in to the shop for an AC recharge. Before I bring it in, is there anything else I should try? How much is an AC recharge cost? ThanksRead More
