Opening a clean out

~30 years old.

What are the chances those screws come with just a flat head screwdriver?

What are the chances it doesn't leak when I put it back on?

Spray it with PB Blaster or your country's equivalent. It shouldn't leak when you close it. There isn't any pressure unless there is a stoppage. Why do you need to open it?

I'd soak it with PB blaster for awhile. Use a very high quality screw driver of the right size (blade should fit snugly, no slop). Gingerly tap it with a hammer as you try to loosen screws.

This is a drain or sewer cleanout, right?

Resealing should not be problem. If need be a silicon bead or Loctite Red form-a- gasket will work.

An impact screw driver is what I'be using.

As you tap the end of the screwdriver with a hammer it turns the screw.
I used to use this all the time on the soft Phillips head screws on motorcycles.
