Welcome to the forums.

I'm not the plumbing pro so I can't help you on the pipe size but I can tell you that you will need to check the rating on the gas meter. More than likely now it will be too small to supply your +400kbtu's.

We've installed some large generators in residences that didn't need the amount of gas you need but required contacting the gas company for meter and pressure upgrades.

I'd highly recommend contacting the gas company with your total required demand.
