Old Mix Valve Removal

Old Mix Valve Removal
Attached is a photo of the mix valve that is currently installed in line in my basement shower. I have a new valve to go in but was wondering how this old valve would come out???
It appears it was sweated in but what are those screws located to the left and right for? I'm guessing this valve will need to be cut out and new line ran???
I'd like to install this new valve myself so any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

It's going to have to be cut out and re-soldered. It's often easier to sweat the threaded adapters and the first few inches of piping, then use couplers to attach to the existing pipes.

Needs to be cut out, and use "repair couplings" to make the new connections.
Repair couplings look just like regular copper couplings but do not have a raised hub in the center.
I like to hold them up to the pipe and make a mark so I know where it will sit when centered.
