Hot tub pump replacement
Good day everyone. I am replacing my main pump on my hot tub and the old pump had this host attached to it before the suction on the wetend. The new pump does not this and I'm unsure what to do.
MY old pump is a Balboa DJAYHB-0155m after much research and working with technicians it was best to replace with a Waterway Executive 56 Frame 2 inch suction.
I have to do a few modifications to get it in properly but I'm left with this line to the suction that the new pump doesn't have. I'm not sure what it is for I'm guessing some sort of bleed.

Welcome to the forums from Canada.
You can update your bio to show Canada as your location.
The only reason I can think of to have a small line connected to the suction of the pump is to add air for the jets. If you have a variable adjustment up top for air.... it will no longer work.

The small hose is to allow a bit of hot water from the heater to flow through through the main pump to prevent it from freezing. So, it's not really needed for the operation of the spa but if you remove it make sure you cap both ends.
