Downstairs sink duel hot /cold taps..worked fine til about 6 months ago...gradually the hot water volume began to slow...and now it trickles after about 20 seconds, with tap now only turning about half way around. Help.

Welcome to the forums.

A clogged filter screen on the aerator will cause low water flow but usually on both the hot and cold faucets.

City water or well ?
Older faucet ?

Could be a problem cartridge in the valve. Partially plugged or something caught in it. If you're not sure the make or model of the faucet.... a picture could help.

Where are you located? In North America most faucets, even those with separate hot and cold knobs, have a single spout. In the UK totally separate hot and cold faucets are common and you might have a clog in the hot water one.
