Bathroom remodel
I recently started to remodel a small half bath in my home. I changed the layout and will move the toilet and vanity to an adjacent wall. My question is can I have the vanity drain wye into the toilet drain pipe. The vent for both would be the main stack. Any comments or critique would be appreciated.

No issue with setting the vanity drain into a Wye into the toilet drain.
The issue comes with venting. The vanity needs its own vent going up. It can't drop down below the floor and then vent as that creates an 'S' trap, which is no longer to code (as of the 70's or so).
The toilet can use the main stack IF there aren't any fixtures above. If it's a 2-story house, the main stack can't be used as a fixture/bathroom vent.
