Washer room plumbing

Hi everyone new here. Gonna do a small project of moving water heater and washer and dryer. Questions are can you run pex on the surface of the wall instead of cutting the wall and putting it inside. It would only be for less than 10ft. And Id be bringing 3/4 to the water heater and 1/2 to the washer.

Yes, PEX can be run outside a wall. The key is that it must be protected from UV light. So, do not do it in a room that has a window or where the sun can shine in.

The plumbing in my laundry room is all run on the outside of the wall .... hid by the washer and dryer so it's not even noticeable.
