Drain Auger Q@uestions
I have an 1½" drain with at least two standard pipe 90° pipe ells. I have the pipe cut so I can bypass the kitchen drain to access directly. I have never had much luck with augers but am considering buying a ¼" x 25' spring auger. How likely is that type to be able to pass the close ells (threaded pipe ells)..

Those little augers get past one 90 degree pretty easily and it's relatively easy to feel when you get past the ell. The second 90 is more difficult. It can do it but you have to be patient and pay attention to the fell as the feedback you get is spongy at that point.

you might get better results working from the roof vent.

At least I got a light fixture changed and new faucet so got my money worth while the bladder was blasting the line.
