Question about copper piping
I have what is probably a silly question but just curious on peoples thoughts. I was hammering a half clamp onto my 3/4 inch copper piping around my whole house water filter and one of the swings the hammer hit the piping. wasn't swinging excessively strong. No visible dents, is a scrap type small mark on it that may you can fill a fingernail slightly catch in that area but no signs of a leak. Anything should be concerned about, how strong are these piping, etc? House is built in 1993, USA made copper piping

Copper is malleable so the dent isnt surprising. If it didn't immediately spring a leak there or at a nearby joint it is probably fine.

If you have well water that is acidic you may be near the end of the life of those 23 year old pipes unless you have an acid neutralizing device. The dent should not be an issue.
