Changing Hot water cylinder

Hi,

I'm hoping somebody can help me with this query.

We are wanting to have our vented cylinder and pump replaced with an unvented cylinder as we had this done at our old house.

My question is:
Can you have an Unvented Cylinder for Hot water system with a heating system which has a header tank? Or do we need to get the heating system converted to?

I'm afraid this is predominantly a North American based site and our plumbing is setup completely different over here. You may need to check a little closer to home for help.

Is a 2" drain line big enough for a washer?

Putting a new drain line in for my washer, I was going to run a 2" drain line down the wall to put the washer hose into. If I run a 2" line down my wall and 30' across my basement to the sump pump will that 2" line handle all that water or will it back up over the top of the pipe? I could also run 2" down the wall into a 3" pipe across my basement if it's better doing it that way..Read More

CSST bonding

I know there are several posts on this topic but my specific question isn't exactly covered. House inspection says to bind CSST for the dryer. The state requires it (is that overriding the equipment ground of the dryer being sufficient?). The black pipe is bonded to the service panel. Can I just add an 8" #6 jumper from the CSST connector to the black pipe it connects to? If not, can I run from the CSST to the same clamp as the one bonding the black pipe? (It is < 75'). Or do I have to run all the way to the panel. Is this requirement because there is not a good electrical connection from the CSST to black pipe? Thanks!Read More
