Proper basement utility sink drain plumbing?
Hi, first time posting here. I’ve got an old washer/dryer location that’s no longer used as laundry has been relocated upstairs. I’d like to install a utility sink in the same spot. As you can see in the picture I’ve got water supply, a standpipe at approximately 31” high, and a nearby floor drain. I’m hoping to find out what the best way to plumb this would be.
Can I drain the utility sink into the standpipe? The standpipe is not used for anything at all currently.

There is likely a trap for the standpipe that is buried in the floor. So if you hook a sink up to it you would not want to have a second trap. Best scenario imo would be to break concrete and get rid of the inaccessible trap... and run a vented line up the wall behind the sink. Then use a sj trap that goes straight back into a sanitary tee. Top part of the tee goes to your closest branch vent.

Technically I could run a drain line into the nearby floor drain

If there is a trap down there... you may consider just draining the sink tailpiece into that pipe. No seal. It's not the way it should be plumbed, but it would work just like the washer plumbing.
