How to remove flow valve from tub faucet
I'm not sure if this is the right term for it (aerator?) but how do I remove this from the tub faucet (picture attached)?
We have a small plastic tool to remove the ones in the bathroom sink faucets, but we don't have anything to remove this one. Does it even come out?
Thank you in advance.

I have a feeling that's not actually an aerator, but instead just a piece of plastic to make the water 'flow nicely'.
As you know, an aerator has a screen on it and some other pieces to restrict the water flow while making it feel like it's more flow - all in the name of water conservation. For a tub, an aerator would defeat the purpose since you obviously want to fill the tub as quickly as possible.
So my guess - it's just plastic and it doesn't come out. To confirm, I would take a thin wire and see if you can push it all the way up into the spout. My money is on that it's open all the way up.

You can visit the manufacturers website and look for a parts diagram. If it's removable they will likely show it as a separate piece. You can also call the manufacturers tech support and ask if it's removable.
