Cleaning Lanai of algae over pool , and pool tile repair .
Probably covered here , just couldn't find the answer . My parents lanai needs a good power washing , is there a good solution that won't affect the water quality ? There are also some cracks and gaps on the tiles , what type of grout can you use on a wet area ?

I think all you can do is limit the amount of runoff that gets in the pool. Maybe someone with a squeegee or push broom to direct the dirty water away from the pool.
Not sure about the grout, I always thought it was same for interior/exterior but then I'm a painter not a tile guy. One of the tile guys should be along later.

I've used thinset mortar and plaster on my tiles but there are actual products made specifically for pools that minimize cracking and staining due to the water.

Yes , not so much the run off , than can be swept out or shop vac'd up . More the sections over the pool itself , I know my Mom is always adding stuff to keep the pool clean and the right balance , don't wan't to screw that up .
