Can’t unscrew pool’s Hayward Turbo Cell

I tried unscrewing the Hayward Turbo Cell in the photo with a clamp but

it won’t budge. Someone suggested I use a set of channel lock pliers but I’m worried they’ll crack the plastic. Anyone have any suggestions on removing the cell without damaging the unit?

A pipe strap wrench would be a good choice.
Available at most home improvement and auto parts stores.....

I ended up using a pail of oil filter / PVC pliers that I picked up at Canadian Tire. Did the trick. Thanks all.
