You see these things at subway and other fast food places that offer salads.
It's a big plastic bowl where the lettuce and all the other ingredients are dumped into.
Then there's a curved blade that fits neatly into the bowl that the preparer pushes down onto in order to quickly chop up the ingredients.
I've been keeping my eyes peeled whenever I'm in a grocery store or wholesale store but no one has this and I don't know how to look it up.
Does anyone know the name of this set and where I can get it? I much prefer "en personne" rather than ordering online (read waiting)

Never seen one. Do you mean a salad chopper? You'll have to check at one of the kitchen stores like Williams-Sonoma or go with a good brand and do it online. OXO has a lot of gadgets like that.

Use an Ulu knife. Perfect chopper and cutter in one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R3VCS54...a-308927626205

I found out the chopper's called a "mezzaluna", target or kmart around me doesn't have it - may end up being an online order : (

There are one-handed mezzalunas...which look like a Ulu, but without the Inuit cultural connection.
I've watched Subway make those chopped salads and have also considered copying. Knife sure isn't kind to the plastic bowl, however.
