Best camera for distance
I am having a bit of a problem with some jerk in the neighborhood. He dumped ragu sauce on our mailbox and then a week later her left a note in there and signed it ragu er.
So as we have kids and I am concerned. I have a ring doorbell that can see the mailbox but it is to far for the camera to see anything clear.
I have some Amazon cameras but again they just don't have distance.
Can anyone recommend a camera that I can attach to the house and be able to clearly see the mailbox? The mailbox is about 100 feet from the house.
Any help appreciated as I am starting to get concerned.
Thanks

One method is to use a security camera with a separate/removable lens. You can then pick a focal length to cover the area you want. There are even some zoom lenses but they are a bit more expensive. Or, you can look for long range or telephoto cameras which have a fixed lens but are designed for longer range. I would read the specs carefully to make sure that the "zoom" or "telephoto" is being done with the lens and not an electronic zoom or enlargement.
