does water pass thru slate
Have slate deck around a pool. Slate fastened to cement slab with thinset and grout. Slate is not sealed at this point.
When it rains, does water pass thru the slate into the thinset?
If yes, is that bad for thinset?

Does water pass thru the grout into the under layers?
