Roofing repair on California roof.
I need to get my roof fixed, saw many video on youtube for fixing this however, I need to know how to place roof underlayment and shingles properly to avoid more work than needed.
Acutally, I am seeking for a good handyman getting the job done, but if not, I'm gonna do it myself.
Do you guys know about some helpful videos that show how to get it fixed properly?
Thanks in advance.

Looks more like you need a whole new roof not just a repair.
Look at the condition of those caps, the granules are all wash off.

We don't recommend tradesman on this site.
There is a link to the right to look for professional assistance.
Roof looks good.
Certainly not in those pictures.

I can see where this roof has been patched many times before, your going to be playing wack a mole trying to fix this.
If there not stuck down to each other anymore, the granuals are washed off, there's cracks in the shingle where they over lap, the shingles are due to be replaced.
The hardest part to fix is going to be that large area where you can see bare wood, the hard part is going to be trying to get those cap shingles out of the way to repair.
You or someones going to find there just going to crumble when removing.
That whole section of the roof needs to be stripped so new felt can be laid before the new shingles go down.
I'm also not seeing any ridge vents which is one reason those shingles are getting over heated.
