How seal leaky skylight windows - and with what product?

I have eight Pella skylight windows on a roof with a 45 degree angle. They are 26 years old and leaking when it rains. My interior knotty cedar is badly stained. Before I repair the stained cedar, I want to stop the leaking by applying a sealant around the glass on the exterior of the windows. Pella told me that they don't do that anymore. The glass companies will make replacement glass but won't install the it. So I have a DIY project. Any and all advice will be appreciated. I don't think any ordinary clear caulk will work - but I could be wrong. The sealant must be able to withstand shrinking and expanding. I live in the Northeast - so we have all kinds of weather.

Welcome to the forums! Exactly where is it leaking? Around the glass seals? Around the flashing on the roof? If you need a sealant, look into OSI Quad Max in clear. We use it exclusively on exterior window sealing as it is flexible, won't weather out and can virtually be applied under water. You will need a rag (rags) and MEK or other solvent to wipe up boogers, though as it is not water soluble.
