Window at grade next to driveway options?

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has any ideas that could help. We have 2 windows that are right at grade for a bedroom, the will leak in the winter with any snow build up. The issue is that the window is next to the driveway which is already very narrow so a typical window well would stick out way too far and get run into. The driveway is gravel so working there isnít an issue, just not sure what our best option would be.

Thanks

Post some pictures of the area so we can see what you have.

Cell phone pics often have to be reduced in size to post.

I am not living at the property yet and itís a little far away. This picture is very close to the situation though:

The window is a tiny bit higher, it is not under the gravel but right at the level of it. The only difference is right against the wall is the driveway to the back and is narrow, causing the issue of not being able to use a regular window well.

Thanks

Does water drain away from the window? Do you think it's water or wind carrying the leaves and debris to collect in front of the window?

The picture there isnít our window, itís just the same situation except itís our gravel driveway right against it. There are no leaves or anything that ever build up by it, itís always clear but itís just the fact its right on grade . We canít lower the driveway and we canít put a window well out cause itís a super narrow driveway already.

The issue is mostly snow, if it builds up it sit up on the window and when it melts it will leak in. The water at least does drain away and not pour to it but still an issue.

Thanks

If you can't put anything there to keep the snow away then it sounds like you're going to have to be vigilant about keeping the snow away.
