Clearing pinestraw from roof
I'm looking for an alternative to actually getting up on the roof to clear off pinestraw. Currently, I go up to the ridge line and use electric blower to blow off the roof. Does anyone know of a system to use the blower from ground level to accomplish this task?

Some Sch 20 PVC pipe and a couple of 90 Deg. elbows, duct tape it to your leaf blower.
Sort of like this attachment.

This is a single story 1400 sq ft ranch house built in 1999 with a high pitch asphalt shingle roof like most built in GA these days. The steep pitch of the roof is what makes it difficult to clear the roof. I use a fall protection kit when I go up but would rather not go up there at all. I go all the way to the top peak as the straw covers a large percentage of the roof.
That Toro kit is interesting. Maybe I could get one of those and fab up some extensions with PVC as suggested. I used to have a Toro blower and they are powerful. If I don't let the straw get to thick/heavy, maybe it would do the trick?

Those blower attachments are cumbersome and get heavy trying to hold and guide them, BTDT and got rid of it after the first use. I don't care to get on my roof either but that's about the only good way to get the straw and leaves off other than cutting all the offending trees down or hiring someone to do it for you.

I cut down 15 Pines in this yard(my sister's) in 2010 and 35 in my own yard. Still she has quite a few(maybe another 20?) on the north end that make all this mess. Pines in your yard are not your friends!
I ordered one of these kits. I have a long pressure washer wand I have managed to use pretty effectively for short duration. Hopefully this one will be ok. I'll report back on how it works out.
