Has any one installed these ? I'm thinking about putting them in my bedroom. Curious how they look and feel. Are these appropriate for residential or are they more commercial ?

I consider them a commercial looking carpet. I pick them up all the time at different accounts and bring them home. I use them in my basement shop and garage. Easy to install.
I haven't seen any carpet squares that I'd consider "really nice" looking but I haven't looked.

I've done whole buildings with them. Easy to replace if damaged, wear quite well, but very commercial. Good for kids playroom or office, but not what I'd want in a bedroom, even the higher pile stuff.

Thanks guys, There goes my carpet tiles out the window. Going to Plan B now.
I really don't have a plan B, I want to DIY something on that floor. Any suggestions ?

Carpet tiles are set in a pressure sensitive glue so you will always have a glue residue on your floor. A pressure sensitive glue is one that always remains tacky and will forever be on your floor. Easiest DIY floor is laminate or other click lock flooring. That in conjunction with area rugs would be my suggestion.
