Fix area rug bump

Area rug causes by a wet vacuum. How should I fix the bump? I could flip the rug over so I can fold again the rug but I think I’d cause a different ripple.

What kind of backing does it have? It will most likely lay back down with foot traffic.

It should flatten out. I guess you could dampen it and put a weight on it.

As sam floor said, you could dampen it.

A trick I have used for lifting corners is ice and weighed down. Don't ask me how it works, it just does.
