Help with possible epoxy flooring?

My floors are chipping at certain points. I'm not sure what material it is or what to buy to patch and match the floor. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Name: image.jpg

Welcome to the forums.

Sure looks like an epoxy coating and it's hard to tell if it's just no longer sticking or the cement is spalling.

Where is this floor ?
How old is the coating ?

I can see some scraping in your future.

The floor covers my kitchen and living room but the top layer of 'paint' or 'epoxy' is chipping. I just bought the house a year and a half ago so I'm guessing it is that old since it was renovated.
If it is not sticking to the cement as you mentioned, can I paint the patches?

Yes, as long as the bare concrete is clean [not dusty] you can paint the individual spots. The touch up will show but it won't look as bad as it does now.

I would have given up long ago on that type floor.
Loose lay linoleum, laminate, floating engineered floor will all work and hold up far better.
