Fill gap in oak flooring, refinishing

Hello, I sanded and re-finished my dining room oak flooring last year. Didn’t stain (left natural) and sealed with Minwax Ultimate Floor Finish (water based-poly). The floors turned out great!

I have a few small gaps throughout the room that are not a big concern, but I have a few larger gaps in one concentrated area (see attached photo) that I wish I had addressed before sealing.

Can I fill the gaps completely with wood filler now, sand down the area (approximately 4ft x 4ft) and re-seal? If so, how does that work when sealing, will there be an “overlap” look to the poly. Any tips and/or advice is appreciated. Thanks

There is always the possibility of a gloss change with the new/old poly. The best way to minimize that is to poly individual boards. Don't forget to scuff sand those boards first.
