Hi there, I need your advice please. I’m renting and the flooring is carpet it’s 6years old carpet and my son is allergic to dust and carpet is the worst thing for his case, of course the property management refused to change it to laminate flooring ( this is their typical finishing for all their apartments). I want to install laminate flooring over the carpet and I know that it will not work because in some areas it still have high pile. So I thought to install Clear Vinyl Plastic Floor Runner/Protector for Deep Pile Carpet all over the place and on top of it will be the laminate , so it will give harder surface under the laminate. What do you think? Could that help? Or any other suggestions please.
