Squeaky Laminate
My laminate flooring is almost 10 years old, and has developed a loud and annoying squeak at a joint shown right in the middle of the attached picture. I was going to just take up the floor and see if I could find a problem. However, I will have to take up the entire floor of some 500 or so square feet to get to this joint. I did take up the molding and found that the two boards with squeaks were jam against the wall. I cut the ends of the boards off, But I can't get them to move toward the wall. Two questions. Is there a way to work some type of liquid into the joint to stop the squeak? If not, can I just use a nailer (16 or 18 gauge) and shoot 2 or 3 nails into the joint? When I mash down on the joint, the squeak goes away. Any other suggestions such as a way to take up these boards without removing the floor. There are no spare boards and the floor has been discontinued.

Part of the problem is that the stagger on your boards is too small. Should stagger joints by at least 12" and I usually take the board and stagger by 1/3rd of the board or 16". The reduced stagger makes for a weaker joint between boards. This plus a low spot in your subfloor means the joint is over flexing causing your squeak.
Can't shoot nails into laminate, it needs to float and expand and contract.
