AC blower with heat

Hello

I recently moved into a house with gas heat radiators and central ac. There were initially two separate thermostat controls, one for heat and one for the ac. A contractor combined them into one and removed the heat only thermostat.

I also just installed a new sensi wifi thermostat, which seems to be working, but my concern is when I turn the heat on the ac blower also turns on. I didn't notice this happening before, but I suppose it could have. is this normal? Or could something be wrong with the wiring?

Thanks for your help. Let me know if I need to post any images or provide any additional details.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm not real familiar with that stat but I think I see something you need to change. Go to programming and change the Indoor Equipment Configuration from the default of EL2 to GA1.

Give that a try an see if stops the blower from running in heat mode.
